2005 almost over
Posted At : 1:32 PM | Posted By : tony
Well, as I look back on the past year I can only say, where in the HELL did it go?

· Navtrak breaking 15,000 vehicles online to

· Revolution Web Design having a banner year to

· 3rd place at the Green Hill Yacht and Country Club club championship (in my flight) to

· 3rd place in the 1st Annual Pohanka/Green Hill Amatuer Invitational (in my flight) to

· 2nd place in the Intermediate ColdFusion coding contest to

· 1st place in our flight, and 2nd place overall at the 2005 Green Hill Member Guest (my father-in-law was my partner again, we have now won our flight 2 out of 3 years!!! and my 5th out 6 years!!!) to

· all of the natural disasters, wars, social uprisings, voting in previous dictatorial countries to

· the Carolina Weekend tour!!! (our 2nd one) to

· the Burr Open!!! (my 2nd one, the ninth annual) to

· setting up my own, flickr, myspace, delicio.us profiles to have me on the web, the things i like, the pictures i take, and the links i want to share

its been a crazy year, one that i will never forget. i look forward to 2006, i really do. i cannot say that i looked forward to 2005, but i think 2006 will have a lot of new an incredible things in store.

i am hoping to
1. become fitness and fiscally fit (more so than 2005)
2. i want to ride in the seagull century
3. i want to as well :)
4. i want to become a single digit handicap golfer (im a 12 right now, and want to be an 8 or 9. but i will not set any limit as i'd prefer to be a 5 or 6!!!)
5. i want to win my flight in the club championship
6. i want to make it to the 4th or 5th round of the presidents cup match play championship at green hill.
7. i want to do more yoga
8. i want to become a better buddhist

there is a lot i want to do, a lot of time will be taken to do it, but i think i can handle it.

Comments

i think i have an answer for want #9 that will help you with your other eight listed wants... and that is to give up wanting.

This insight is not my own but rather comes from a Buddhist parable that i read some months ago. Wish i still had the link to share.

In any case, thanks for making me smile. Your DBCC CHECKIDENT write up was helpful too. ;-)
