DI 9FFTR731 - Lost review

So tonight's Lost was another HOLY SHIT Lost episode if you ask me. The backstory was about Rose and her husband (for some reason I can't remeber his name right now) and how they met, why they were in Australia, and a nice little relation to Locke. Rose drops her pill bottle on the floor in the airport terminal and a wheelchair bound Locke picks it up and hands it to her. Later on in the episode there is a moment that Rose and Locke share where she reminds him that anything is possible with this island, and that they both KNOW what she is talking about... it was a nice moment of clarity for him, you could see it.

Early in the episode Rose and her hubby are straightening up their inventory of food and the camera focuses on the labels, and everytime it focuses on the alphanumeric string "DI9FFTR731" Who knows what it REALLY means, but you have to imagine that "DI" in the beginning stands for "Dharma Initiative" I'd love to know what the rest means. Ideas anyone?

We learned that Rose had/has Cancer, was in remission and as soon as she got to Lost island, she "Lost" her affliction. Come to think of it, many of the residents have Lost something... Something I hadn't thought about before, but an interesting line of thought nontheless. Charlie lost his heroine addiction, Mr. Eco lost his brother (and has subsequently found God/the calling to the cloth), Locke lost his leg problem and can now walk and I'm sure more will come about.

Meanwhile Locke struggles to write down the map he saw on the blast door, Jack decides to go find "The Others" he takes Kate along, and leaves behind Sawyer. Rose and her husband come to grips with the fact that the faith healer did not "FIX" her, but in turn "FIXED" him into thinking she was better. And Michael shows up torn and tattered having found "The Others" camp. We learn that he now vows to take some people back to "The Others" camp with him to take them on, because as he sees it... they are soft, and can be taken on!

All in all a GREAT episode this week, and I tell you I cannot wait for next week!

Edit #1 Tonight I found a site with some interesting ideas and clues to what the string might mean...
