Smells like Football (NFL is finally almost here!!)

how cool... it's my favorite tv to program and code and design website's to... NFL Football... and tonight's pre-season "Hall of Fame Game" and that mean's it's almost time for Nerdfootball.com And that means also, that it's almost time for the Oakland Raiders (my team) to play the San Diego Supercharger's at the Coliseum in Oakland on the very first Monday Night Football game of the year. nerdfootball.com is a really fun football pool that i built many moons ago, and in our now 8th year of running we have one of the largest pools yet! it's a pick and confidence type pool, where you assign a "Confidence Factor" to each game, and for each game you get right, you get those points. points range from 1-16 (if there are 16 games that week) and you better pick wisely, because every point matters! Oh and of course there is a "Smack Down" area where you can let your opponents know just how you feel! there is also a suicide pool on the site, where you can run each type of Nerdfootball pool on your own, and it's all self manageable! if you'd like to setup a pool for this season, we are open for business and would love to host your pool. each pool can be purchased with a credit card, through paypal, and we are real honest nerds, who just love football and website geek stuff :) the cost is very reasonable, and negotiable. in addition to the football pool website, we also have Nerdbasketball.com that enables you to run and be a part of the coolest NCAA MARCH MADNESS BASKETBALL POOL! It's built using Adobe Flex and is possibly, the coolest RIA Basketball pool on the planet! mark my words. i just have a feeling. if the right team approached him
i firmly believe that he would pick up and play! the little smirk he
gave when asked why his conviction now, should be viewed any different
than before. and that my friends, is an EASY tell. easy.
oh, and if the raiders pickup michael vick, then i will forego my raider
fanhood until he retires.

when i saw this picture, i knew he wasnt happy about being in new york
as a jet, you could just see it in his eyes. he may have a poker face
on the football field, but not in real life... not at all!

Randy Moss and Daunte Culpepper - a Cinderella Story?

they talked raiders last night. YES People. Randy Moss and Daunte Culpepper... maybe making a comeback together on my RAIDERS! what! ok. this is like christmas again, again! last year we gained randy... slowly building our team. they have like 5th or 6th pick in the draft. i think we can get a NICE pickup. aj hawk maybe? then you throw daunte and randy together... a pitcher and his catcher. a big time passer and his favorite receiver. hallelujah HOLY SHIT! you heard it here folks. im listening to Randy talk to Dan Patrick right now on XM Radio. wow. al davis is the type of owner that would like to pickup that high of a profile quarterback. i know he is! on another note... randy does not know who the head coach is going to be. they have not, as a team been given the choices to make. randy wants a hardnose coach that knows his stuff. a leader. a general he says. TO THE PROMISE LAND he proclaims. randy like vince young as the first pick in the draft. dan is surprised. Randy likes the Steelers in the Super Bowl... I do not think he is aware of the longtime rivalary between the two, and how never the twain shall meet! And finally as a final note... Randy has launched his own website and i think he mentioned some sort of clothing line. That's right ... kinda like Mike. Randy is bringin' it real with the threads. One incredible statistic... Zero Raider Penalties

Tonight my Oakland Raiders did not win against the San Diego Super Chargers. However, I think, in their own way, they did win. They won for one reason... this was their FIRST game since like 1971 or something like that, that they did not commit one single penalty. Not one. The Bad Boys of Football, no penalties! And along another line... do you think Al Davis would get Randy Moss, knowing who was coming out of USC, knowing that he REALLY likes Heisman Trophy Winners. I'd hate to see Randy leave because he is really only operating at about 65%... but I'd love to see Reggie Bush, or Matt Leinart on the Raiders. Talk about a solid cornerstone to build a nice team for the future. The defense is coming around, the offensive line is going to grow up another year. Norv Turner will be seasoned in the Raider system for another year. Al Davis is smart, he may have a plan.

So, I have a lot to post about this, but I at least wanted to get it started :) I went to the Raiders vs. Redskins game on Sunday the 20th, and the Raiders won! It was my first game, we had "Dream Seats" and last night I was even on Sportscenter's Monday Night NFL Preview show, during Michael Irvin's "Playmaker's" spot. I may have only been a black object in a sea of maroon, but at least I was on there! What a game, I'll post more, pics and everything later on. :) still in shock

like i have told EVERYONE that doubts Randy Moss as a Raider this year... i have a sneaking suspicion, that he will clean his act up, act like an adult, and REALLY make a positive impact on a team that is wrought with discipline and fear and a commitment to excellence. discipline, not in the sense that they arent bad asses... but discipline in the sense that they are focused solely on smash mouthed football... all the time! here is a link to the article by Skip Bayless of ESPN.com The joke is on the Vikings (by Skip Bayless, of ESPN.com's Page 2)
